Erika June & The Tunes is the unvarnished and personal expression of singer/songwriter Erika June Christina Laing. In contrast to her complex metaphorical style in the art rock band, Working Breed, this project is aimed at direct and unbridled communication of feelings. The result is punchy alt-pop rock featuring a duality of power and vulnerability. It is the bare behind the glam. Erika June’s acoustic guitar is fleshed out by The Tunes: Mike Dugan on electric guitar, Doug Korekach on bass, and Mike Mast on drums.
